Aart J.C. Bik

Aart was born in Gouda in the Netherlands. In 1996, he moved to the United States as a post-doctoral researcher at the Indiana University. In 1998, Aart jointed the Intel Corporation in Santa Clara, California, USA, where he was the lead compiler architect of automatic vectorization in the Intel C++/Fortran compilers. In May 2007, Aart moved to Google Inc. in Mountain View, California. Here, he has worked on Pregel, a distributed system for large-scale graph computations, and in Google[x] on the GDK (Glass Development Kit). Currently, he is working on the compiler for ART (Android runtime).
