Dr. Pavel Simakov is a technical lead for Course Builder, an open-source online learning & MOOC platform at Google. He loves building intelligent software systems contributing to strategy, product, architecture, and coding. His team focuses on semantic knowledge representation and adaptive learning at scale. Previously, he worked on Google Payments & Google Wallet, and was a Director of Software Architecture at PayPal, an eBay company.
When not at Google, Pavel is a President and a Chief Scientist of Adaptive Workouts, a premier Bay Area Strength Training and Global Metabolic Conditioning facility. He specializes in slow motion, high intensity Strength Training, also known as Super-Slow protocol or Body By Science "Big Five" workout.
