James Kelly

James F. Kelly is a Product Manager at Google. Kelly launched the Google Fiber for
Communities project in February 2010, before this he worked on a range of large scale
network infrastructure initiatives for Google's production network. Before joining
Google, he worked at Terawave Inc. as Product Line Manager, responsible for the
development of Terawave's range of gigabit passive optical network systems and
optical network terminals. Prior to Terawave, Kelly was senior member of professional
staff at BT Labs-Fiber Systems development unit.
His research covers broadband access network architectures, gigabit consumer premises equipment and the development of tools & techniques to promote the accelerated deployment of Fiber to the Home networks. Mr. Kelly received an M.Eng. in Electronic Systems Engineering from Aston University, UK with Honors, he is a Chartered Engineer and Member of the Institution of Engineering and Technology.
