Hank Liao

Hank Liao is a Software Engineer in Google Research, New York City. He received a BASc in Systems Design Engineering from the University of Waterloo in 1999, MPhil in Computer Speech, Text and Internet Technology from University of Cambridge in 2001. In 2007 he completed his doctoral thesis titled "Uncertainty Decoding for Noise Robust Speech Recognition" supervised by Dr. Mark Gales and sponsored by Toshiba Research. His main research interests in the area of speech recognition are noise robustness, acoustic modeling and large vocabulary transcription.
