Ritendra is an engineer at Google. He completed his Ph.D. degree from Penn State in
2009. His research interests include statistical modeling and machine learning, image
content analysis, content-based image search, automatic image tagging, and visual
aesthetic quality inference. More recently, he has been interested in structured
extraction from free text, and automatic query classification. Prior to Google, he
has spent summers at IBM Research and Xerox PARC.
