Junda Liu

Junda Liu received PhD in Computer Science from UC Berkeley, advisor Prof. Scott Shenker. At Google, he worked on the efficiency and reliability of large scale computer networks like global backbone B4 and datacenter fabric Jupiter, and is particularly interested in applying software defined networking (SDN) to challenging problems.

Realizing the best cloud network is nothing if users have awful access, he joined Project Fi, to make Google's innovative mobile service working seamlessly across carriers and wifi. He is also leading several carrier-related efforts in Android (AOSP), including carrier APIs in Android 5.1 UICC carrier privileges and carrier config in Android 6.0
